What Budget Studio does

Budget Studio is a private business planning workspace. It helps authorized users organize budgets, view projects and costs, and review financial information. The operator, not Intuit, is responsible for processing information through Budget Studio.

Information handled

Depending on the features used, the app can handle account information such as your name and email; budget income and expense entries; project details; names, roles, planned hours and rates of project team members; cash assumptions; and information in connected Google Sheets workbooks. Technical information may also be processed by the services that provide authentication and hosting.

QuickBooks Online access is currently limited to a development sandbox. If a live QuickBooks connection is added and authorized, the app is intended to retrieve accounting reports for comparison with your budget. This policy will be updated to describe how live QuickBooks data is handled before that feature is enabled.

How information is used and shared

Information is used to authenticate approved users, display and save the budget, calculate planning views, support requested recommendations, maintain the service, and respond to support requests. It may be processed by service providers needed to operate these features, including Clerk for sign-in, Google for connected workbooks, and Vercel AI Gateway and the configured model provider when recommendations are requested. Vercel is the planned hosting provider.

When you request AI Coach recommendations, the current app sends budget category totals and monthly summaries, including cash assumptions when provided, to the configured AI service. It does not include names, notes, or credentials in that request. The model provider may process information according to its own terms and settings.

Storage, retention and security

Budget entries may be saved in the connected Google workbook, including the app-managed history. Access to the workspace is restricted to approved accounts when authentication is configured. Service providers may also process or store information as needed to provide their services. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Budget records and workbook history are intended to be kept until Nicole requests deletion, subject to any applicable legal obligations. Send deletion or correction requests to [email protected]. A workspace administrator will handle requests manually and review the app-managed workbook history and known backups. Nicole manages copies of the yearly workbooks in her Google Drive. Copies, provider records, and backups may require separate action, and deletion is not automatic. Vercel may retain technical logs under its plan and settings; connected providers can retain information according to their own terms and settings. Any future QuickBooks data retention will be described when live access is enabled.

Your choices and requests

You can choose whether to request AI recommendations and whether to authorize a supported integration. You can manage Google and QuickBooks permissions through their respective account settings. Disconnecting an integration does not necessarily delete information already saved in a workbook, logs, or backups.
